Some bloggers have told me that this blog was beginning to “blog fade”. Now I have heard the term thrown around before but I strongly doubted that me not posting anything for a couple weeks would really hurt anyone. I think its great when people take a break and step back to look at where they are in their lives. I just think that they should let their readers know that they are not going to be updating their blog for a while or have some guest posters coming in and help out.

Krispyblogs was always about blogging. I have looked at that and thought what can I do with this domain. It has so much potential when compared to some of my other domains. Krispyblogs has been a blog network, and another blog network and then a smaller blog network and finally a single blog. I think that the best part of it all is that blogs were always involved. Through thick and thin I have been blogging. Heck, I have been blogging since I was in the eighth grade!

On that note, I am going to continue taking this blog on the path it is currently on and see where it takes us. I am always interested in seeing what I can do and what challenges life will bring. I have set but one simple goal for this blog in 2008:

With all the stories I have been reading about Page Rank recently, it is getting old!  I cannot believe people continue to bombard me with forum threads about it.  We all know that Google is conducting a Page Rank update, I’m SORRY if you lost Page Rank, send Google an email, NOT ME!  I really hate when you send me emails about such things, please don’t and would all blog owners please listen to the following rant.

DO NOT AUTOMATICALLY SUBSCRIBE COMMENTORS TO COMMENTS. This will decrease your commentors and make your blog a ghost town, if readers really want to subscribe, let them check the box themselves, you will be glad you actually gave your community a option!

Have you ever considered taking your site and just plain forgetting it.  Going back to a time where you don’t have to worry about, oh my site is not updated I have to run out and post something new.  I have a blog that I KNOW will be blog fading, I just don’t feel like saying it will be closed, as I want to leave the posts.  That blog is the only one remaining on the failed Krispy Blogs network.  Ryan’s Reviews is officially CLOSED as of this date.  The subdomain just did not work out for me, and with it being hosted on a subdomain it hardly ever got any paid review requests and the whole idea just did not seem to good.  I will keep the blog up like I said, but I am NOT planning AT THIS TIME to continue to update it.  Thanks to everyone who let me blog about their site and I might retool this into it’s own site in the future.

So I have expanded my realm of blogging, yes I am THAT awesome.  I have started up Ryan Pics.   One Photo One Day, and you will get another one the next day, it is really a lot of fun to do.  Then I started up Ryan At Home.   It is sort of a home improvements blog, because I am doing a ton to fix up this house.  Anyways, I have a travel blog in the works,  but look for that soon.

I am planning on adding AdSense to this blog.  After all, I did not think it would do too well at ryan444123.com but earnings have been pretty fair.  I won’t be adding it today, but just letting everyone have a heads up so you don’t bite my heads off.  Have you used Adsense?  Have you been paid by it?  I am just starting out with it so I am very interested, give me a comment below to let me know!

I have to keep this in the air for the next little while.  I rather concentrate on blogging and giving you guys some awesome bits of my mind than have technical things.  Besides, with this install, it is very similar to 2.3.  I just upgraded Ryan444123.com and trust me, your not missing ALL that much, although it does have some interesting admin tools but I digress.  It is now 1:23 A.M!

Well after much(15 minutes) of downtime, Krispyblogs is now on the root domain.  They redirected blog is still availible but as of this post will no longer be updated.  We are working on install more customization and we will have to work on the whole PayPerPost getting mad at us situation, but overall a rather quick and painless transition.  Hope everyone has a nice day and thanks for reading Krispyblogs.com

Wordpress has been sending out information through the Admin Control Panel(ACP) about it’s beta releases of Wordpress 2.3.  However, I am not too sure what exactly they are going to be releasing in 2.3 yet.  I would like to know more before I upgrade.  However, they just released the third beta of 2.3 so that means they will be releasing the first RC(release cantidate) next Monday.

What this means for the rest of us, well, the ones who did not use fantastico to install our sites is that we will need to take a few minutes and make a backup(which you should be doing at least weekly, if not daily for a heavy posting schedule blog) and get ready to upgrade within the next few weeks.  As soon as 2.3 makes a final release cantidate I will be upgrading and if you haven’t noticed I added a cache to make all sites within the krispyblogs network to operate faster.

Tech has a good writeup of what Google might of done to save itself from having to kill of it’s Video product.  A good read if you do so ask me myself.
