gps is one of the greatest things that has been invented in the past century. Before it, you would actually have to ask someone if you were headed in the right direction. This caused many people to become angry, but now, you have a soothing voice telling you every turn. I even used a GPS when driving in Canada, it saved me from making a wrong turn about five times over the course of my trip! Quite a lifesaver!
