WordPress has been sending out information through the Admin Control Panel(ACP) about it’s beta releases of WordPress 2.3. However, I am not too sure what exactly they are going to be releasing in 2.3 yet. I would like to know more before I upgrade. However, they just released the third beta of 2.3 so that means they will be releasing the first RC(release cantidate) next Monday.
What this means for the rest of us, well, the ones who did not use fantastico to install our sites is that we will need to take a few minutes and make a backup(which you should be doing at least weekly, if not daily for a heavy posting schedule blog) and get ready to upgrade within the next few weeks. As soon as 2.3 makes a final release cantidate I will be upgrading and if you haven’t noticed I added a cache to make all sites within the krispyblogs network to operate faster.
